The Cork shelter dog nobody wanted has FINALLY found a home

Here’s some happy news for a Monday morning.
An abandoned dog that was left in shelter care for more than a year has finally found a forever home… and it’s all thanks to Yay Cork readers.
When four-year-old corgi cross Cora arrived at Dog Action Welfare, she was a frightened, abused dog who refused to make eye contact with humans.
In the months that followed, her foster carer Deirdre Byrne worked hard to bring Cora out of her shell and she soon learned to love life with Deirdre’s two dogs.
All she needed was a full time home… and now, one year after being rescued, she’s found it.
Saša Bedenik Šuflaj contacted this website to let us know she spotted Cora’s story after it was shared almost 1,000 times by hopeful Yay Cork readers.
Saša and her partner, who also have a another rescue dog, will be taking Cora home to Turner’s Cross in July.
“We met her today and within an hour decided to adopt her, she is gorgeous.” said Saša
“It was an instant thing when we saw the article – those little ears and eyes! We wanted to give her all the love she deserves.”
