The Christmas Jingle is going online this year (with Mick Flannery as special guest)

Tickets sell out every year.
But this Christmas you can be sure of a comfy seat for The Christmas Jingle – the annual live music concert is going online for 2020 so you can watch it from the comfort of your own living room on Sunday, December 20th.
The Jingle’ was founded in 2017 by Marguerite and Mary O’Connor to support local charities and offer audiences an afternoon of pure Christmas delight. Every penny raised is donated to charity and this year’s recipients are Enable Ireland Children’s centre, which is currently short €1m in funding for its Curraheen base.
“Although we can’t share the room with you all for the live event, we’ll bring the live performances of Christmas classic hits straight to your home through our live stream!” Marguerite, who performs as ‘The Songstress’ told Yay Cork.
Special guests will include Mick Flannery, with plenty of other surprises in store for viewers on the night. Also returning will be The Loungeman, The Jazz Dude, Lorna Moore, Michaela Maher Music, Gill McGee, Mary Norberg O’Neill, Timothy O’Sullivan, Orla Hill, Marie Bradfield, Tracie Keenan and Mikey O’Donovan.
Tickets start at €5 and you can enter the online raffle too, with prizes from Clayton Hotels, Barry’s Tea, Cork City FC, Ballymaloe Foods, Munster Rugby, Callebaut, and many more, from €10 with your ticket.
Here’s how it works: Visit the website to purchase your tickets here. The streaming date is December 20th at 6pm. Once purchased, ticket holders will receive the link one day before the streaming. After that, they can rewatch as many times as they like or watch the entire performance at a later date.
This year’s Jingle will take place at the Metropole Hotel, who donated their main ballroom for the event.
