Moments of celebration have been fairly few and far between over the last sixteen months, so yesterday’s reopening of outdoor pubs and restaurants has sparked a level of joy that almost feels unfamiliar.

Needless to say, publicans and restaurant owners were in very good form – finally opening their doors to customers once again. Social media was flooded with great pictures from establishments across Cork, pictures that will almost certainly make you want to head out again today.
