So you think you’re funny? Give stand-up a go at this all-female comedy night
Making people laugh is harder than it looks.
But if you’ve always found it easy to get a chuckle from your nearest and dearest, now there’s a chance to try out your best material in front of a live audience.
A new stand-up comedy night where all the performers are women is opening up the stage to wannabe comedians once a month at The Abbots Ale House. The next Giving Lip Comedy night is scheduled for Thursday, June 30th, 2022.
“The Irish comedy scene is not known for being female-friendly, and it can be disheartening for women to get involved in it.” organiser Carrie Sully told us.
“This night aims to provide an encouraging space for women (or nonbinary people) who want to try their hand at stand-up.”
