So UCC just installed a cosy pod for NAPPING between lectures

They might need to order a few more of these.
The kindly folk at University College Cork have unveiled a special treat for this year’s students; a custom designed pod where you can nip off for a cat nap during the gruelling college day.
Yeah; really.

Announcing the arrival of the pod on Twitter this morning, UCC Library said:

The MetroNaps pod is the world’s first chair designed specifically for napping in the workplace.
According to their website, “Allowing employees to take a short 15-20 minute nap is an easy and effective way to boost alertness and productivity. It also improves mood, creativity and learning. The long term health benefits are also substantial.”
The idea is for students to use the pod for a 20 minute nap in order to be more productive afterwards.
Seems like a heavenly spot to ride out a Fresher’s Week hangover to us.
