It’s due to open in the coming weeks.

With excitement mounting among locals, Ballincollig’s newest bar is being treated to a revamp internally before the big reveal.

The latest project by Cork bar guru Benny McCabe, Arty’s Bar will take over the space previously held by Sam’s in the village, promising a dog-friendly spot “serving award winning beer by Rising Sons Brewery and others” with a colossal gin selection and a whiskey collection “worthy of a king”.

Nice.

Today the bar shared images of the painting and building work underway inside to get the premises up to the exacting standards of its owners.

Many locals wondered if the interior would be updated to remove all trace of the Sam’s days and we can safely say it looks like the place is being treated to the works before opening night.
