Sigur Rós producer Alex Somers is hosting a Liminal Soundbath in Cork

You might have a profound experience.
LA-based musician and Sigur Rós producer Alex Somers is hosting an intriguing little event on Leeside as part of the Sounds From a Safe Harbour festival in September.
Somers will lead a Liminal Soundbath at The Marina Market at 10pm on Saturday, September 9th.
Not familiar? Don’t sweat it; liminal soundbaths are a way of experiencing music in a live environment where the aim is to slow down, focus on your senses, and be present.
“Music heals. Sound heals,” says Somers.
“The haze is thick, the music gauzy and mellifluous, the performance element of undeniable power. Everyone surrenders to the stillness and gets to leave feeling like they might just have seen everything from a slightly different angle.

“Hopefully these shows can move people and they leave in an altered state. Music can offer us these profound experiences in an instant, and so often when you least expect it.”
Tickets are €20 here and all you need to bring is an open mind and a yoga mat to lie on.
