Sip Mai Tai cocktails at the tiki bar at this fundraising party for Lahaina, Maui

Wistfully remembering your summer holidays?
If you’re craving one last tropical treat before autumn really kicks in, The Friary on Shandon Street is planning just the thing.
A fun-filled fundraiser in aid of the residents of Lahaina, Maui who have been displaced by the recent wildfires will take place this Saturday, September 2nd.
The idea for the party came from local woman and Friary regular Emma Healy, a former resident of Lahaina, whose friends and former coworkers on the island have lost their homes and their places of work.
“The Hawaiian-themed event includes Mai Tai cocktails at the tiki bar, a raffle, party games, and pulled pork buns with a spicy slaw for sale (vegan version also available).” the organisers told us.
“Prizes for the raffle and game winners have all been donated by local businesses and artists. Hawaiian or beach attire is encouraged, and flower leis are available for attendees. Donations can also be made at The Friary before and after the event for those who can’t attend on the night.”
All donations will go directly to victims of the fires and the fun kicks off at 6pm on Saturday.
