Pancake Tuesday: 6 Cork crepe spots that will make your flipping day

By Maria Wilson February 6, 2024February 3, 2024

Are you a sugar or lemon person?

Mark your calendars for February 13th folks, because it’s time to put away the frying pan and let the pros handle the batter on Pancake Tuesday.

We’ve rounded up the top spots in Cork City where you can indulge in the best pancakes, whether you’re craving crêpe-style delights or fluffy American stacks.

Liberty Grill

If you’re a fan of brunch, Liberty Grill is the place to be. They serve up Johnny Cakes, a New England classic made with non-gluten and plant-based ingredients. Choose toppings from maple syrup, strawberry sauce, or warm maple butter. Feeling fancy? Add maple-fried bananas or Caherbeg smoked bacon for an extra treat.

Bell’s Café

Check out the adorable Bell’s Café, nestled right across from Bell’s Field at the top of Patrick’s Hill. This new kid on the block serves up some seriously scrumptious crêpes. Treat yourself to pure decadence with their Nutella and strawberry crepes, topped with not one, but TWO scoops of velvety vanilla ice cream.
