This healthy lunch spot is offering lunch for two for a tenner (all day and all week)

Umi Falafel on Academy Street is celebrating its birthday this week with a rather good deal for customers… and it’s the perfect excuse for a lunch date.
From now until February 11th, 2024, you can rock up to the counter and order any two sandwiches, any two mezze or any meal deal for a grand total of just €10.
Choices include their famous Palestinian Falafel; a warm pocket full of falafels, hummus, tomato, pickles, fried aubergine, flat parsley topped with chilli and tahini sauce, and the Cauliflower Pita Sandwich; a hearty combo of cauliflower fritters, vine tomato, fresh cucumber, pickled red onions, flat parsley topped with tahini sauce.

Opt for a meal deal and add a salad of your choice or batata hara (spiced potato wedges) and a soft drink or regular tea/black coffee.
The Academy Street shop is open seven days from 11am to 9pm and Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 10pm.
