ORSO has a new breakfast menu; here’s a sneak peek

It’s the most important meal of the day so you might as well go all out.
ORSO, the tiny restaurant with the big heart on Pembroke Street (next to Arthur Maynes) just unveiled a brand new breakfast menu… and it’s so tempting you’ll want to skip lunch.
The dishes are packed with spices and fresh herbs, just what you need when another bowl of morning Bran Flakes just won’t cut it. Instead, settle into a comfy table and keep the coffees coming while you wait for your brekkie.
A modern classic, the Smashed Avocado with oven roast tomato, gremolata on focaccia is heaven on a plate. Plus you can leave feeling all saintly, knowing you’ve started the day with all those essential healthy fats nutritionists are forever recommending.
Some of the new dishes include Shakshuka; baked eggs, harissa, beans, spicy chorizo and crisp bread (pictured above), Manoushi; freshly baked flatbread, black pudding, caramelised onion, egg, harissa and cheese and Baked Halloumi with beetroot spread and zhoug on homebaked focaccia.
The Sweet Potato and Courgette Cakes with poached egg and roast pepper relish are a popular order too.
If you like something sweet first thing, their Chocolate and Banana Flatbread with toasted seeds and almonds is divine with coffee.
The restaurant fully caters for vegans and vegetarians and many dishes are gluten-free. Breakfast runs from 8.30am – 11.30am, Monday to Saturday and you can also order online here.
Looks like breakfast is the new brunch.
