One of Cork’s newest cocktail spots is officially Irish Bar of the Year for 2023

It’s party time on Bridge Street.
Cork’s Paladar was announced Bar of the Year and Best Newcomer at the Clayton Hotel in Dublin on Monday night.
The latest venture by Cask co-owner and mixology marvel, Cork’s own Andy Ferreira, the Latin American-inspired cocktail bar and kitchen is managed by Oisín Wolfe, who curates a rotating menu of classic and signature cocktails based around rum, cachaça, agave, and pisco.
The venue already made waves after just six months in business when it was listed as one of the 2023 Spirited Awards Regional Top 10 Best New Cocktail Bars in Europe.
The awards, run by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, have become some of the industry’s most sought-after gongs, celebrating global excellence in the drinks industry and recognising the professionals, organisations, and establishments that shape the cocktail community worldwide.
Other winners on the night included Kinsale’s Blue Haven, which took home Bar Food of the Year and Best Live Entertainment awards, Impala, The Montenotte, Woolshed Baa & Grill, and Costigans.
