Deliveroo just announced that riders will deliver delicious restaurant meals to public parks across Cork city centre from now on.

So, no more soggy sandwiches and picnic baskets required – just order your lunch or dinner from your favourite local restaurants using the app and have them dropped off to you as you lounge in the park.

All you have to do is grab the perfect spot, drop a pin at the nearest park entrance so your rider can find you, then chill in the sun as you wait for your meal and drinks to be delivered.

Afterwards, pop your packaging in the nearest public bin – no need to do the washing up.
