Now you can buy your own Wild Atlantic Seaweed Bath to enjoy in your garden

Seaweed bathing has been an Irish tradition for centuries.
At once stage, this country was home to more than 300 seaweed bathhouses, all frequented by fans who enjoyed the powerful muscle-soothing and skin-softening powers of a good soak in hot water and organic seaweed.
If you don’t fancy filling your own bath with murky strands of seaweed, Wild Atlantic Seaweed Baths fire up their al fresco tubs every weekend at various beachside locations.
Now they’re offering a limited number of their custom-made whiskey barrel baths for purchase, allowing bathers to enjoy all the therapeutic benefits at home.
“Wild Atlantic Seaweed Baths are delighted to be offering our seaweed baths for sale.” the company posted on Instagram.
“The full package includes the barrel with a cover, steps, a small barrel for cold water and a wood burner that heats the barrel up in about 45 minutes.”

The opportunity to bathe in a seaweed soup of omegas, zinc, and magnesium whenever the mood strikes sounds idyllic, but it doesn’t come cheap. The cost of the full set-up is €3,000, all in.
Because the wood-burning heater requires no electricity or a pump to operate, it’s the perfect choice for an off-grid property or a secluded spot at the end of the garden. Briquettes, wood or turf can be used to get it going and it takes about an hour to heat up in winter.
