Now you can dance yourself happy at the Sober Disco

Dry January getting you down?
Taking a break from the booze is good for your confidence, your brain and your waistline, but it can leave your social life looking a little sparse.
If you’re avoiding alcohol for the month, but you miss the sweaty energy and sheer joy of the club dance floor on a Saturday night, a Cork events company may have the perfect solution.
A Sober Disco will take place in the home of Cork’s biggest vintage shop at the end of the month, offering all the excitement of a night out on the tiles – without the booze.
Yes, really. And it’s going to be a tonne of fun.
DJ Will Softly, the Founder of One World Sounds and Funktion One Soundsystems, will spin some classic sounds at The Village Hall, 4 Patrick’s Quay on Saturday, January 27th, while guests get their groove on.
The Village Hall crew say ‘We’re taking alcohol out of the mix to provide a space where people from all backgrounds and walks of life can dance and have fun without a hangover.’
So whether you’re at end of your dry January challenge; you don’t drink at all; you’re working first thing on Sunday or you’re just curious about throwing some sober shapes, you can book your €10 ticket (concessions €7) here.
See you on the dance floor.
