Not much to worry about in this week’s weather forecast

We’ve certainly had worse Octobers.
This week’s weather is expected to be mild enough that we can officially call it unseasonable for late October. According to the latest regional forecast by Met Éireann, there are middling temperatures on the way, and not even too much rain to worry about.
The rest of the Bank Holiday Monday will be decent, with sunny spells persisting throughout the rest of today, before a mostly dry night.
Tomorrow will also see “good dry intervals” though the headline weather is described as “dull, mild and breezy.” Nevertheless, there will be highs of 15-17 degrees, which is pretty damn warm for October.
Temperatures will remain consistent through Wednesday, though the weather will become wetter, at first. “A wet start but scattered outbreaks of showery rain will gradually clear to scattered showers during the day with some drier and brighter intervals developing, especially in the north and west.”
Met Éireann note that there is a good deal of “uncertainty” surrounding Thursday’s weather, but that ultimately it will be a “generally wet day.”
Friday will be cooler again, though there will be nice sunny spells among any showers, which will mostly affect the western half of the province.
