MTU’s new €13m, 1,200-seat Arena is now open on its Bishopstown Campus

It’s a state-of-the-art building.
The much-anticipated MTU Arena is finally open on MTU’s Bishopstown Campus, ready to cater for sports, societies, and other University activities including conferring ceremonies, careers fairs, and exams.
This €13 million development, the first of several new buildings which will be built at the University, includes a 1,340m2 hall, two studios, a café, and a spacious gym. Ultimately, the Arena will be open seven days per week and membership of the gym will be open to students, staff, and members of the public.
The venue, the main hall of which can accommodate 1,200 people seated, will also be available for hire by external groups, including local community groups, for concerts, exhibitions, and other events.
