Yep; the Cork City Whiskey Walk sounds like our kinda’ exercise

We like the sound of this.
A local whiskey expert will be leading a fascinating stroll around town as part of Cork Whiskey Fest 2023, taking place across Mac Curtain Street, Collins’ Barracks, and St. Luke’s from March 24th to the 26th.
Eric Ryan is a senior distiller in Midleton and is now part of the innovation and planning team.
A published Irish whiskey history enthusiast with a special love for his native Cork, Eric will be taking a merry band of revellers off on foot for a whiskey history walk around Cork City on Saturday, March 25th at 2pm (tickets €32).

Cork Whiskey Fest is guaranteed to be a jam-packed weekend with 34 events to choose from, running across three days. The event will offer attendees exclusive insights into unique whiskeys, some not even available to purchase in stores.
Festival organiser Laurie O’Dwyer, host of the Whiskey Chats podcast and member of the Irish Defence Forces for over 20 years, developed the idea for the festival alongside his wife, Sonya:
“What makes Cork Whiskey Fest different from others of its kind, is that we want it to be open and accessible to everyone – not just whiskey experts,” Laurie explained.
“We’ll have the experts there from the various whiskey brands hosting events, who will guide attendees through the experience, whether you’re a whiskey aficionado, or just enjoy the occasional drop.”
