At least the plants are getting a decent watering.
For us humans, however, there’s another wet, hot weekend in store in Cork, complete with heavy showers and a risk of thunderstorms later today.
Highest temperatures will range between 21 and 23 degrees for the remainder of Friday, so if you’ve been toying with the idea of purchasing a fan to cool off while you work from home, it’s probably still a savvy buy.
Met Éireann is predicting further showers or longer spells of rain tonight, with lowest temperatures of between 12 and 14 degrees.
“Tomorrow, Saturday, will see showers or longer spells of rain affecting the province, there will be brighter weather developing at times.” says the national forecaster.
“Temperatures staying on the high side, between 21 and 23 degrees. Winds remain light variable or easterly in direction.”
It looks like the humidity will be sticking around until next week too; forecasters say there will be little change in the pressure pattern, adding that “relative humidity stays on the high side with no change of airmass until the midweek period. A little cooler from Sunday though.”
