Met Éireann is forecasting a week of sunny spring weather and temperatures of up to 17C

Here’s a bit of good news on the weather front.
Met Éireann has forecasted plenty of sunshine across Cork this week, with temperatures of up to 17C likely.
While Monday will begin a bit damp and cloudy, any lingering showers are expected to clear away quickly and high pressure will continue to dominate our weather with largely dry and sunny conditions from Tuesday on.
Time to dust off the barbecue then.
It will be dry and clear for most overnight with lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees generally and Tuesday will dawn dry and sunny and remain that way until the afternoon when a few light showers will break out. Highest temperatures will range between 13 to 17 degrees.
Apart from the odd shower, most areas will be dry and sunny again on Wednesday when temperatures will stay in and around the 17C mark.
According to forecasters, it will be mild until evening: “Turning chilly later with another dry and mostly clear night. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees generally.”
“A mild, dry and sunny day with light breezes” and temperatures again ranging from 13 to 17 degrees is expected on Thursday
“Current indications suggest it will continue mainly dry and sunny for Friday and the weekend, with light breezes and just a possibility of a few light showers breaking out.” added the forecaster.
