After a chilly week, there’s more dodgy weather in store for the weekend, with Met Éireann issuing a Status Yellow weather warning for Cork and Waterford.
The alert is valid until Saturday at 2pm.
The national forecaster warns: “Frequent showers merging to longer spells of rain at times during the period, will lead to accumulations of 25 to 35mm in some parts, particularly near the south coast.”
The RSA has urged motorists in Cork to take extra care while driving on wet roads.
