Meet Sonny, an old dog looking for a new buddy to watch TV with

He just wants to enjoy his retirement in peace.
That’s the number one requirement of 14-year-old collie Sonny, who is looking for a new forever home with a willing Cork dog lover.
Sonny is currently in foster care thanks to Cork Dog Action Welfare (DAWG), who are determined to set him up in comfort for the rest of his life, despite his advancing years.
While it’s always more difficult to re-home an ageing dog, there are a number of advantages to taking on this old gent; he’s fully house trained, charming company and he’d rather chill out on the sofa than pound the pavements on long walks.
He could be the perfect companion for the right owner.
“Sonny is an undemanding and loving 14-year-old collie cross, a quiet gentle soul.” a Cork DAWG volunteer told us.
“He’s a lovely dog, happy and contented. He doesn’t require much exercise, he prefers a comfy couch. Sonny is a very affectionate dog, loves the company of humans. He really deserves a good home where he can retire in peace and comfort.”
