It’s definitely McFlurry weather.
But while we might have a little way to go before we can get our hands on one inside a McDonald’s restaurant, there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
McDonald’s has announced that it will open all its Irish drive-thrus before June 4th, 2020.
The first six are already operating in Dublin, with a further 51 restaurants due to open between Tuesday and Thursday next week.
McDonald’s has also announced plans to expand its delivery service, although no information has been given on which locations will be served by drivers just yet.
“Face coverings, gloves, Perspex screens and new safety and hygiene processes mean it will look different, it will take a little longer and as we’ve seen in the pilot restaurants, we expect demand will be high,” the fast-food chain said in a statement.
“With smaller teams, we will still be offering a limited menu over reduced hours, and we ask that you make contactless payments, and limit your spend to €30,”
