Love old books and hand-knit mittens? This festive market is a hidden gem

Make a Christmassy coffee date for this Friday.
If you like to think outside the box when it comes to festive gift-giving, a market happening in Montenotte should provide everything you’re looking for.
The Hidden Gems Christmas Market will take place at Roots Coffee House, Beech Hill Garden Centre, Montenotte from 11am until 4pm this Friday, December 6th, 2019.

Bibliophiles will have a fine time browsing the stacks of old and interesting books (you could find a gem for someone special) and the collection features something for all tastes.
The Roots Coffee House Knitting Club have been hard at work making all manner of cosy winter accessories with wool kindly donated by Tivoli Spinners.

Pick up a bobble hat or a pair of wool mittens (a bargain at just €5) to keep your hands toasty until spring.
Vintage Hitch will be pulling up in their 1960s caravan to dish out free Happy Days ice cream to visitors during the day too.

Set above the city with stunning views over the rooftops, Roots Coffee House opened in 2018 and provides training and employment for a group of people supported by Cope Foundation.
