A new vintage pizza van is serving slices alfresco up in Montenotte

We support any activity that ends with pizza.
A new vintage pizza van has rolled into leafy Montenotte this week, serving up pizzas that could be the perfect excuse for a summer evening wander.
The Montenotte Vintage Pizza Van will be parked outside The Montenotte Hotel from Wednesday to Sunday from 2pm to 7pm, starting July 1st.

Created by Executive Chef Martin Lovell, the menu will feature a selection of classic pizza combos, plus some summer specials to try.
If you’re after a classic, the Vintage Van Margherita (€19) keeps things simple with San Marzano tomato, Toons Bridge smoked scamorza, Fior di Latte mozzarella and fresh basil.
For something with a bit more kick, the Orchard Fire (€21) combines Gubbeen chorizo, caramelised onion, rocket and chives for a smoky, slightly spicy flavour. The Forager (€21) is a great vegetarian option, topped with wild mushrooms, Irish cheese, crème fraîche and truffle oil for a rich, earthy taste.

The most indulgent choice is The Mandarin (€23), which features confit duck, hoisin glaze, quail egg, pickled cucumber and spring onion.
Too good to share, probably. We’ll be ordering personal pies.
