Tired of dining at the same old spots?
If your tastebuds have been yearning for something a bit more interesting than the usual fare, an upcoming pop-up dinner in Kinsale could be just the thing.
Artist and one third of the notorious ‘absurdist gastronomic art collective’ Domestic Godless (fresh from The Galway International Arts Festival and the Athens Biennale), Stephen Brandes will present a buffet of delicious, but unorthodox dishes at O’Herlihys Kinsale | OHK Cafe on Saturday, December 8th.
Guests at La Buffet Pataphysique are advised to expect “an evening of rare, familiar and strange foods with a tinge of surrealism and off-kilter humour – paired with the stories of how they came into being.”
A treat for the adventurous diner, the meal will include meat, shellfish, milk products (“and possibly carpet fluff”).
For obvious reasons, the kitchen cannot accommodate individual dietary requirements on the night.
The €50 ticket price includes food and an aperitif and patrons will be required to enter the building through the back entrance via the car park, “for reasons that will become clear on the evening”.
