Forget everything you thought you knew about starters. Because if your culinary fantasies involve chicken wings elevated to a main-course, culinary-event status, then get ready: a new player just landed at the Marina Market, and it’s about to interrupt your weekend plans.

Just Wing It isn’t just a clever name; they delighted lucky testers during a trial run on Sunday, and now, the countdown to their grand opening is officially on.

The latest foodie endeavour by well-known actor, Love Hate star Laurence Kinlan, who also owns the popular MKT Burger at the Marina Market, Just Wing It will serve juicy, freshly fried chicken wings slathered in a selection of house-made sauces and dry rubs alongside rustic fries in a choice of flavours.

Laurence has joined forces with Chris Curtin, former head chef at The Oyster Tavern, to create a concept that puts wings front and centre on the menu

“Chris and I have had this idea for a few years.” Laurence told Yay Cork.

“It’s taken a while to get to this point and we’re delighted to finally get open. Our menu is some classic homemade wing sauces with some flare and twists and we’ll also have a selection of dry rubs/seasonings if sauce is not your thing.

“Our fries will be hand cut daily with choices of different salts. And we’ll also have a vegetarian option too.”

Just Wing It will open seven days a week from 12pm – 8pm at The Marina Market, Ballintemple.
