Ian Bailey will discuss the death of Sophie Toscan du Plantier in a TV interview tonight

“I had nothing to do with it.”
Ian Bailey will offer his theory on the murder of French filmmaker Sophie Toscan du Plantier in an interview with broadcaster Colette Fitzpatrick on Virgin Media 1 tonight.
The pre-recorded interview, which airs at 9pm, follows an appearance by Ms Toscan du Plantier’s son Pierre Louis Baudey-Vignaud on Friday’s Late Late Show, where he made a fresh appeal for information on his mother’s death.
“Irish people, you have a murderer still living in Ireland,” he warned.
Nobody has ever been charged with the murder here, but Bailey has been tried and convicted in absentia in the French court. Du Plantier’s family has long blamed Bailey, and Bailey has suggested that he should have had some representation on The Late Late Show to counter these claims.
In response to the interview, Bailey said he knows that Baudey-Vignaud believes he is responsible for the vicious killing, which took place on the night of December 22nd-23rd, 1996.
“The only thing I can do is to keep on doing what I’ve been doing – hoping, praying the truth will come out,” he tells Fitzpatrick in the programme.
“I have my own theory that the killer is actually dead.”

Bailey says he disagrees with Baudey-Vignaud’s statement that the killer is still alive and maintains that the person responsible passed away a long time ago.
“I have my own theory that the killer is actually dead.” Bailey says.
