Here’s what’s happening at this year’s Blackrock Village Festival
It’s time to make the most of the September sunshine.
And if you’re scouting for fun days out in the coming weeks, this year’s Blackrock Village Festival takes over the pretty waterside village on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023.
Kicking off at 1pm, families can stroll down the Marina and check out the children’s play area, food stalls, and a local clubs parade. There’s a fancy dress competition too so it’s the perfect occasion to let little ones pick their outfit for the day.
There’s a Garden Party with jazz from John Phillip Murray and special guest Harry Conolly on the Pier Head stage and all the action is sponsored by Blackrock’s many neighborhood business folk.

Jim X Comet and Hank Wedel will take the outdoor stage later on, getting the party started with Stuart Wilde and The Birdmen and Niamh Hatchell’s Irish dancers will also perform for the crowd on the day.
The fun continues from 1pm until 6pm so there’s plenty of time to enjoy a coffee or a pint and soak up the atmosphere before a stroll or cycle back down the Marina and a stop at the playground.
