Apartment dwellers are getting their fresh air fix at this lovely Cork city garden

Craving a little green space in the middle of town?
If your apartment balcony isn’t exactly roomy enough for more than a window box, a group of city gardeners could have just the solution for nature-loving city folk.
St Luke’s Community Garden is hosting another Community Gardening session this Sunday, September 17th, inviting members of the public to drop in from 10am until noon and help out for a few hours in the autumn sunshine.
If you enjoy it, you can join the volunteer team and make it a regular thing.
“You’ll find us on Google or if you enter 94 Ballyhooly Road (that’s next door) – just come up to where it’s green and full of flowers.” say the organisers.

Everyone is welcome, including children and dogs, and no experience is required:
“Bring gloves if you have them, but we also have spares! Meet new people, connect with the community, learn something, tend to the land, and have tea or coffee!”
