Is your Christmas tree starting to droop?

If you’re ready to un-deck the halls for the New Year, Cork City Council has announced a list of locations where you can dump your Christmas tree responsibly and completely free of charge (instead of letting it rot in the back garden until summer).

From Saturday, January 2nd 2021, the Council will open up Christmas tree recycling drop-off points at six spots across Cork City.

Each Christmas tree drop-off point will remain in operation until January 31st, 2021.

Here’s the list of locations:

– Gus Healy Swimming Pool, Ballinlough (on green adjacent)
– Clashduv Park, Togher (adjacent to bring bank site)
– Ballincollig Regional Park, Ballincollig (green adjacent to bring bank site)
– Murmont Road, Montenotte (on green adjacent)
– Sam Allen Sports Complex, Gurranabraher (on green adjacent)
– Tramore Valley Park, South Link Road

“Please don’t leave your Christmas tree at any location other than one of those listed below – anyone caught dumping can incur a fine!” said a City Council spokesperson.
