It couldn’t be easier.

If you’d like to do something nice for a person in need this Christmas, make a beeline for Electric on the South Mall after your Christmas shopping this Sunday.

The RedFM crew will be pulling up in the Big Red Bus from 12pm until 5pm to accept donations of food, clothing and other essentials for families facing poverty during the festive season.

Santa will be arriving to say hello to good girls and boys at 2pm, but you can drop by with an item to donate at any stage during the day – just pick up any of the suggested items below and bring them, unwrapped to Electric to give to the team.

The following are a few examples of what you can contribute:

– Baby items such as nappies, accessories and wipes
– Warm children’s clothes
– Christmas treats such as chocolates and biscuits
– Long life food
– Household essentials, such a cleaning products
– Toiletries such as shower gels, deodorants and moisturisers
– Toys and games

All the items collected on Sunday will be organised and distributed among Cork’s most needy individuals and families this Christmas.

Check out the Electric Facebook feed here for updates or visit the SVP website to make a monetary donation instead.
