The glorious weather we enjoyed over the weekend is set to continue throughout the week, with temperatures of between 15C and 20C forecast in Cork.
Met Éireann is predicting balmy conditions over the next five days, so now is the time to soak up the sunshine and get the garden ready for barbecue season.
Nights will be dry and clear with temperatures dropping no lower than 6C until Friday.
At the end of the week, showers will start to develop in the east and south and will spread westwards across the country through Friday afternoon, when it will be noticeably cooler.
“Current indications suggest that Saturday and Sunday will bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers.” reports the national forecaster.
“These will be heaviest on Sunday with longer spells of rain possible. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees.”
Hayfever sufferers could be in for a tricky time too; the pollen count is high today and will remain so until at least Tuesday.
