On the look out for an excellent wedding band?

Traipsing from venue to venue every weekend to catch a couple of songs from potential groups is par for the course when you’re tying the knot in Ireland.

Everyone and their Granny is happy to give you a recommendation, but until you see a band live, there’s no way of really knowing if their sound is right for the biggest party of your life.

Now however, one Cork venue is making things a whole lot straightforward by offering Cork couples the chance to see some of the city’s most popular wedding bands in one spot.

WedFest Wedding Band Showcase takes place in the Oliver Plunkett on Sunday, February 4th from 2pm to 6pm.

Not only can you relax over a drink and enjoy The Guilty Judges, The Old Moderns, The Cosmic Funk Band, She Said and The Ill Winds, you could also win tickets to Bruno Mars, a free wedding DJ
or a €200 voucher towards your wedding band.

There’ll be a Magic Mirror Photobooth there on the day too and one lucky couple will scoop a hotel break – not bad for a day’s wedding planning with your other half.

The event is organised by Partybands and entry is free but you must register for a place on the guest list here.

Now all that’s left to do is practice your dad dancing for the big day.
