Halloween is here with a Hocus Pocus screening and a witch-themed Drag Show
It’s been nearly thirty years.
Three decades since a careless someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century Sanderson sisters, the Halloween flick has transformed into a beloved cult classic, with SJP, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy becoming the Halloween queens of our teenage-to-adult fantasies.
This month, the long-awaited spooky sequel will finally magic its way onto our screens when it becomes available to stream on Disney+.
And while we’re all for staying cosy under the duvet most nights, this release is the one time we are craving a night of mischief in a room full of fellow guys and ghouls.
Luckily for us, Cyprus Avenue is hosting a Hocus Pocus 2 screening as part of a witch-themed bonanza of Salem drag and fancy dress- brought to you by Cork Drag Haus Mockie-Ah.
“We couldn’t let the release of the campiest movie of the year go without a cinema release! So we are throwing a massive witch-themed night to celebrate,” said the crew on Instagram.

The Mockie Ah queens will perform a witch-themed drag show celebrating all of your favourite witches and there will also be a best-dressed competition on the night (before you sit down for an hour of cackles and fright) with prizes for the best witchy costumes.
