Remember, remember the month of Movember…
It’s taking place once again this year for another record-breaking bout of fundraising and furry faces.
Every year, men all over the world grow moustaches to bring attention to men’s health issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and male suicide, and take part in individual and community-led events to raise funds for the Movember Foundation or a men’s health charity of their choosing.
This year, the Kino is going all out to raise awareness at their Washington Street venue, offering punters the opportunity for a clean cut or trim from Glasheen-based barbers at Strimzz Studio as well as a Mo Bash party at the end of the month.
“With help of our friends at Strimzz Studio we will be open from 5pm for free grooming and haircuts followed by our Mo Bash party at 8pm with music/ food and drink,” said the Kino on Instagram.
“We will also be raising awareness over on our socials for the month of November and funding for research related to men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health.” Funds will be raised for Movember charities through donations on the night.
