Taken a stroll down Tuckey Street lately?
You might have noticed that there’s a certain buzz around the old Bowery building.
It’s all part of a brand new offering about to be unveiled at this side of town; it’s called the Tuckey Street Collaboration Project… and it sounds absolutely amazing.
Work is underway on a new pizzeria downstairs called Pineapple. Here, Corkonians will get to enjoy the mouth-watering creations of the former head chef of ‘PI’ in Dublin, Alessio Torre.
And there’s more; alongside Alessio Torre, the pizza mastermind behind it all is none other than Corkonian Ciarán O’Regan, owner of the hugely successful Rita’s Pizza in Ranelagh.
The Corkman previously delighted the Real Capital in May 2020, when Crawford & Co. hosted a pop-up pizzeria on their premises, giving Leesiders a taste of what’s to come.
At the time, the generous Rita’s owner also had free pizzas delivered to several hospitals and healthcare facilities in the city to the delight of workers who were suffering through the first wave of the pandemic.
Over time, the Tuckey Street Collaboration Project will see further exciting spaces opened up within the building, introducing curious customers to new offerings and experiences.
Future plans even include a rooftop bar… we can’t wait to drop by for a few scoops and a slice.
