Brought to you by Dwyers Garden Café.
Brunch makes weekends better.
And if you’re in the market for a spot to kick back with friends over excellent coffee and fancy eggs, there’s a new option opening up on Forge Hill.
Dwyers Garden Café has announced it’s launching a Saturday brunch from 9am to 3pm weekly, starting this weekend.
First things first; coffee is by Red Strand, roasted in Clonakilty, so you can sip a cup of that while perusing the brunch menu or try their Breakfast Smoothie or Granola Sundae as a little pre-brunch starter.
Next, make your choice from the Something Poached menu: Poached eggs served on a toasted English muffin with silky hollandaise sauce.
There’s a Benedict, with grilled bacon (€9.95), a Florentine with creamed spinach (€8.95) and the Royale, with Ballycotton smoked salmon (€10.95).
The Dwyers Garden Café Brunch menu also features Dr Zeus’ Ham and Eggs (grilled gammon topped with two fried eggs, served with sauteed potato) and an utterly decadent Croque Monsieur; the classic French toasted sourdough sandwich with baked ham, raclette cheese, and béchamel, served with dressed greens.
Feeling extra? Make it a Croque Madame by adding a fried egg.
If it’s something spicy you’re after, order the huge plate of Huevos Rancheros; eggs baked in a spicy tomato sauce, served with crispy tortillas (€8.95) – guaranteed to cure a hangover too, FYI.
If you have room for another coffee (isn’t that what Saturday brunch is all about?) there’s a selection of freshly baked scones, crisp croissants, desserts, and cakes to tickle your fancy afterward too.
Drop by Dwyers Garden Café for Saturday brunch from 9am to 3pm weekly (last orders 2.45pm).
