Everybody’s invited to dig in at this city Community Garden

Looking for an outdoor activity this weekend?
St Luke’s Community Garden has issued an open invitation for members of the public to join in their efforts at the Old Quarry on Ballyhooly Road… and you can bring the whole fam’.
“You can always come to the garden, wander around, enjoy the view, and discover something beautiful…but if you also want to get your hands into the soil put this into your calendar.” the group announced on Instagram.
Every Sunday from 10am to 1pm, St. Luke’s Community Garden is open to anyone who wants to drop by for some gardening and socialising.

You can bring your lunch to eat al fresco (feel free to bring something to share if you like) and enjoy a few hours outdoors while helping to get the garden ready for spring.
There’s a compost heap, raspberry canes, various fruit trees, and flowers so there’s plenty to help out with while you meet new mates and enjoy beautiful views of the city skyline.
It’s a perfect way to get your hands in the mud if you’re an apartment dweller too.
