Cork Weather: Mostly dry and mild as the week begins, with highs of up to 13C

There was a heavenly blast of sunshine on Sunday.
And it’s looking like we might get another taste of Vitamin D in Cork today, with a mostly dry forecast for Monday.
According to Met Éireann, we can expect a mix of sunny spells and just a few light showers to kick off the week today, along with highs of 11 to 13 degrees.
Don’t dust off the barbecue just yet though and bring a brolly if you’re heading out; it’s looking like it will turn more unsettled through the week, with spells of wet and breezy weather and widespread rain on Tuesday.
Forecasters say Tuesday will be “wet for most in the morning” as rain in the northwest extends across much of the country. It’ll be breezy too with fresh and gusty southwesterly winds. Highest temperatures will range from 10 to 13 degrees.
Wednesday night will be a little colder than of late with temperatures falling to between one and five degrees after dark.
Thursday will be “a much cooler day” too with sunshine and showers or longer spells of rain likely.
