Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, but if you can’t make it Stateside to celebrate, you can still feast on all the famously mouthwatering traditional food right here on Leeside.

Electric is once again hosting its much loved Thanksgiving Dinner this year, giving homesick expats and fans of Americana a chance to chow down on turkey and pumpkin pie.

The South Mall bar and restaurant is hosting two sittings on Thursday, November 22nd; the first one at 5.30pm and the second at 8pm.

There’ll be a Champagne sorbet to start, before guests tuck in to a Thanksgiving Salad with blue cheese, dried cranberries, candied walnuts and mixed leaves.

The main course involves the customary glazed roast turkey with just about every side you can think of, from crispy roast potatoes and sweet potato mash to green beans, Brussel sprouts, crispy onions and orange, bacon, cranberry and herb stuffing.

If you still have room for dessert, there’s a big slice of pumpkin pie with your name on it or you could plump for a chocolate brownie, served warm with hazelnut ice cream.

The Loungeman will provide entertainment between the sittings, giving everyone a chance to mingle and catch up.
