Douglas Street is closing this weekend for a very special event

We love it when a community comes together…
And we are extremely fortuitous to have so many strong ones here in the Rebel City. On September 25th, the usually bustling Douglas Street will be closed off to all traffic to welcome people from adjoining neighbourhoods to Autumn Fest 2022 for a car-free fun day of friends and frolics.
The 500-metre stretch of road is home to some of the most iconic spots south of the Lee, from a world-class museum and an iconic music venue to award-winning restaurants, cafés, and Fionbarra’s beer garden.
The street will be hosting all sorts of acts on the day including circus performers, buskers, dancers, and storytellers.
Autumn Fest goers will get to try their hand at pizza making, take historical walking tours, and boogie the afternoon away at a silent disco. There will be plenty of food available on the day too with promises of a pig on a spit, ice cream and paella.
Douglas Street will be closed to traffic at Summerhill South, Rutland Street, White Street and Dunbar Street between 8am and 7pm. Residents are also being asked not to park on Douglas Street for the day to maximise space and enjoyment.
Autumn Fest takes place on Sunday, September 25th from 12pm-6pm on Douglas Street, Cork.
