Cork’s oldest chipper is treating the people of Cork to a delicious portion of their famously fresh-cut chips on Friday, August 12th… and all you have to do is show up.
As part of their fun new ‘Catch Us on Patrick Street’ campaign, the team from Kiely’s will be giving out free chips on Patrick Street on the day between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.

Widely remembered as Mattie Kiely’s, a chip shop has operated on Maylor Street in Cork City Centre for decades.
Now in the capable hands of the foodie pros behind Kinsale’s famous Blue Haven Collection, who reopened the location at the beginning of the year, the menu at Kiely’s has been given a gourmet twist by head chef Meeran Gani Manzoor.
The focus is firmly on locally sourced ingredients, with fish from Union Hall and Ballycotton, Ummera chicken, and local Cork potatoes for chips as long as the weather permits.
We can’t think of a better reason for a lunchtime stroll down Pana on August 12th.
