Play Lunch will see this Cork street transformed into a playground for kids

This sounds like the dream for parents.
A special children’s event will see Cork’s Caroline Street transformed into a playground for kids to stretch their legs in while grown-ups enjoy the local restaurants.
As part of Cork on a Fork, brand-new five-day food festival running in venues and streets across Cork City centre from August 17th-21st, Play Lunch will take place on August 19th, 2022 from 2pm to 4pm.
Kids young and old can have plenty of fun with a schedule of planned Lets Play Cork activities and games (supervision will be required but it’s perfect for tiring out little legs before sitting down to your meal at Scoozis or Greenwich) and there will also be giant Jenga, Connect Four, balance board games, a tug of war and much more, all facilitated by an experienced coach.
The Cork on a Fork Festival has added a number of thoughtful events for kids and families in the line-up.
Families can watch the butter-making process and make fresh bread at an outdoor demonstration at The Butter Museum on Wednesday, August 17th, a unique opportunity to take a stroll around the historic Shandon area of Cork city.
There’s also a Family Pizza Making Workshop with Oak Fire Pizza in the Marina Market on Thursday, August 18th, 2022 (11am-12pm, €12 per child, including pizza) and a Family BBQ on Beasley Street with the Maldron and Let’s Play Cork on August 20th and 21st (1pm-5pm, barbecue from €8).
