R&H Hall is to be demolished: Here are 4 iconic prints to remember it by

It’s a new era for Cork.
But as plans for the first phase of the €350m South Docks development on Kennedy Quay gain momentum, it looks as if we’ll be saying goodbye to an iconic piece of the local skyline to make way for what’s next.
The R&H Hall grain silos, which have loomed large over the Docklands since the early 1900s, are set to be demolished after developers O’Callaghan Properties found that they could not safely be included in a new design for the area.
Happily, the Odlum’s Building, which is a protected structure built in 1933, will be repurposed and its lovely facade and many interior features retained.
However, according to planners, the enormous concrete silo “is technically deteriorating as a structure” and its retention is “not economically viable”.
A date has yet to be set for R&H Hall to be demolished so now is a good time to plan a photo walk.
