It’s the perfect January treat.
No surprise then that Eat Street, a new ‘healthier’ chipper concept from the folks behind Naturally Nourished Café at Penrose Dock, has completely sold out ahead of its debut weekend.
With the kitchen at capacity for tonight’s launch, plans are already in place to ramp up and meet the massive demand from next Thursday on.
Since Christmas, Eat Street has been tempting hungry Instagram fans with images of their ‘Smash Burgers’ made with O’Mahony’s Butchers Macroom buffalo meat and a variety of mouthwatering toppings, but they’ve also created menu options that will appeal to customers attempting to make healthier choices.
Instead of the usual oil-drenched chips, Eat Street offer oven-baked French fries and oven-baked sweet potato fries. That’ll save you a bunch of calories right there.
If you’re avoiding carbs, there’s a Keto Bunless Burger that should hit the spot. With no bread to scupper your ketosis, you get a triple beef patty, onion, gherkin, ketchup and mustard for €8.75.

Even the shakes are healthy; the Cacao Superfood Shake, for instance, is a blend of almond milk, frozen banana, vanilla, milled flaxseed, maple syrup, raw organic cacao and ice (€5.50).
There’s also a Matcha Mint Shake featuring antioxidant matcha green tea, a”Snickers” shake (oat milk, peanut butter, honey, frozen banana, raw organic cacao, dates), a Mixed Berry shake (orange juice, mixed frozen berries, frozen banana, natural yoghurt) as well as a selection of Whole Earth lemonades and colas if you fancy some fizz.
If you didn’t manage to nab a delivery slot this weekend, fear not: Eat Street will be “back with a bang” on Thursday, January 14th, promising more menu items and “some stellar veggie options.”
