Cork Weather: Met Éireann predicts a big change this week as autumn sets in

The Indian summer is over.
After more than a week of glorious sunshine and balmy temperatures in Cork, Met Éireann is predicting a shift back to more familiar territory for autumn.
The week will begin cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, turning persistent and heavy at times.
The rain will ease off gradually in the evening but forecasters note that it will feel “noticeably cooler ” with highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in light variable or northerly breezes.
“Outbreaks of rain early in the night will largely die out by morning with clear spells developing along with some mist or fog patches. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees in light northerly breezes.”
Hurricanes Lee and Margot in the Atlantic at present. Both look to be heading North but high pressure staying between us and them for most of next week. However they are causing a lot of uncertainty on weather beyond the next 5 days. pic.twitter.com/pTVFP17jbS

Tuesday will be mainly dry with sunny spells and highest temperatures of 16 or 17 degrees, but after a mostly dry start on Wednesday with sunny spells, cloud will increase from the Atlantic with rain spreading from the west in the afternoon and evening.
“Thursday looks to be a bright day with sunny spells and a few showers, mostly affecting the northwest of the country. Temperatures on Thursday will be between 15 and 18 degrees with light to moderate west to northwest winds, fresher near northern and northwestern coasts.” added the forecasters.
According to Carlow Weather, hurricanes Lee and Margot, both in the Atlantic at present, are causing much uncertainty regarding the weather beyond the next five days.
