This West Cork pub boasts one of the prettiest beer gardens in the country

It just keeps getting better.
For a place so far off the beaten track, Ahakista has an epic selection of stunning spots to grab a pint and a bite to eat.
A mere five-minute walk from the award-winning Ardundel’s by the Pier stands The Tin Pub with its very own ocean views and country charm.

Named after its corrugated iron roof, the rural pub is no stranger to famous names- most notably and regularly Bandon native (and local Quiz Master) Graham Norton.
Out the front of the bar run sloping lawns that dip into the bay, dotted with circular picnic tables and benches, which in turn are sheltered by tall, old trees and framed with carefully maintained flowerbeds and shrubbery.

It’s no wonder that their customers are saying they have the best beer garden in the county.
On Fridays, a food truck called The Tin Shack is parked up outside serving burgers and fries -but sadly they shut up shop coming into the winter months. Still, you couldn’t pick a prettier spot for a spin and an al fresco pint or a coffee on a fine day.
The Tin Pub is located in Ahakista on the Sheep’s Head Peninsula some 20km from Bantry town.
