Cork pub to stop its takeaway service this weekend (for a very sound reason)

Some calm before the storm at District 11.
The popular District 11 Pub & Kitchen based in Glanmire has announced that it won’t be doing takeaway over the coming weekend.
While that might seem like a confusing business move ahead of the bank holiday, the pub and restaurant has explained its logic in a post on their official Facebook page.
They wrote: “We will not be open for takeaway food this weekend. We are giving our staff a well-deserved weekend off before the madness begins… we can’t wait to reopen our doors and welcome you all back on Monday!”
Next week is expected to be relatively hectic in the hospitality industry, as outdoor dining resumes from Monday, June 7th.
The spot is now taking bookings (food only), with reservations available for two-hour slots.
