Cork is the cheapest place in Ireland for vegans to eat out

It’s a good time to be vegan on Leeside.
A new report shows that Cork’s plant-based restaurants offer some of the best value per plate in the country.
Google searches for ‘vegan restaurants near me’ have increased by 200% over the last year. With this in mind, catering company Alliance Online Ireland conducted some research into which towns and cities have the best vegan offerings.
With casual options such as My Goodness, Iyer’s, Pink Moon, Cork Rooftop Farm and the Quay Co-Op among the most popular spots to pick up a meat-free munch and Paradiso for special occasions, Cork tops the list with the lowest average price rating for fully vegan restaurants.
The city also came joint top with Limerick in the lowest average price rating for vegan-friendly restaurants category.
When it comes to the number of vegan restaurants, Dublin easily tops the leader board, with 157 vegan-friendly restaurants, and 10 fully vegan restaurants, according to Happy Cow data.
Galway was a distant second, with a total of 40 vegan-friendly restaurants and two fully vegan restaurants, followed closely by Cork, with 36 and one respectively.
